John loves to trade. To his wife’s disappointment, however, John likes to talk about trading just about as much as he likes to trade. John started trading options over a decade ago, and in that time, he has worked for different brokerages in a variety of different roles centered around trading, investing, investment advising, and of course educating others about trading and investing. John is Ute. He graduate from the University of Utah with degrees in Economics, Asian Studies, International Studies, and even a law degree. But back to trading. John thinks that Dan Aykroyd said it best: “This is it. The last bastion of pure capitalism left on earth.” This means that trading the financial markets involves pitting oneself against the smartest, most driven, and most ambitious people in what is arguably the most competitive industry and endeavor in the world. John has traded many different options strategies, but ultimately he is a self-described “volatility trader.” He concedes it is probably an over-simplification, but John believes at their heart, options trades are essentially volatility bets in some form or another. John lives with his beautiful wife and three daughters in wonderful Boise, Idaho.
